Presales Engineer

Seeking a Network Pre-Sales Engineer to join a dynamic and growing team of engineers.

Key Accountabilities:

• Cost out customer solutions including services, equipment, infrastructure based on technical requirements
• Identifying solution risks, proposing and costing mitigating strategies
• Support account managers, sales team and customers with technical guidance. Act as a trusted advisor
• Develop strong customer relationships to support the scope or work and solution presented to the customers
• Assist with maintaining and upgrading the services catalogue and other products
• Maintain the presales pipeline database for current presales requests to ensure job priorities are communicated to all stakeholders
• Assist the technical part of the proposal generation process
• Organise regular meetings with account managers and other stakeholders to discuss and update status of quotes and bids to keep consistency and manage timelines.
• Lead and manage responses to tenders and RFQs to win business
• Provide quotations, estimates and high level designs based on Radio Access Network
• Examine operational requirements, in conjunction with the Network Architect, for engineering works
• Provide support to the Network Design, Infrastructure Design and Network Delivery teams in the initial phases of a project to ensure a smooth handover is achieved
• Experience in IP/MPLS and network design
• Knowledge of SDH, PDH, WDM, Fibre design
• Knowledge in mobile transport network (4G/3G)
